As of right this moment, I've found that I want my content to be slightly more organized and my current vision is leading me in two or three different directions.  My next post will have further details.  I'd love to go out with some epic set of culminating photos but this is all I've got.  Adios!

Portland is crazy

Today I rode my bike (whats new?) and decided to get a beer. While drinking a beer I watched a homeless guy with a faded denim vest ride up next to the beer garden on a tandem bike, pull out a macbook air, and begin to do some casual computing.

I've ridden downtown almost every weekday since I got here and I haven't had a boring ride yet.

This year, I celebrated America's birthday in my new home: Portland, Oregon.  I rode my bike downtown to observe the scene and watch some fireworks.  Please put on your headphones or turn up your speakers because this post is not only visual.  Here are some of the sounds that I encountered throughout the evening along with a quick and dirty snapshot of the exact scene where it was recorded.

Unfortunately, I think I must report my first lost SD card in 7 years of owning and caring about cameras.  I went to open up the beater cam for an upload and there was no card! I also think I had some meaningful snaps on it... weak.

On an up-note, you can expect 3 simple sequences in the near future.  My list of ideas finally got large enough to sprout a creativity seed.

the solo bbq-ist

Yesterday I was riding to the pizza parlor when I stumbled upon this dude.  He was the only one around and just hanging out with his tiny little bbq.  It had just stopped raining about an hour before and it was approaching evening.  I thought it was so interesting that he wanted his bbq chicken wings so bad that he spent the time to set up a little briquet bbq on the sidewalk and marinate the wings, all by himself.  Good things never come easy.

He had some great smelling chicken wings going.
